08/14/2010 Guest, John Tobia, Candidate for Florida House of Representatives, District 31

John Tobia was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up in Lakenheath, England, Alexandria, Virginia, and Satellite Beach, Florida. He currently lives in Melbourne. He is the proud father of one child, his daughter Taylor. His mother is a school teacher in Brevard County and his father is a retired Air Force officer.

John is a political science professor at Valencia Community College. He graduated from Satellite High School, Brevard Community College, and the University of Florida.

Upon being elected to the Florida House in 2008, he was appointed to the Finance and Tax Council, Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriations Committee, Health Care Services Policy Committee, State Universities and Private Colleges Policy Committee, and the Joint Legislative Auditing Committee.
